Our Story

The body, listened to.

The Manzia atelier in Paris

Manzia began with a refusal — to confuse intimacy with spectacle.

Our founder spent a decade in the Parisian ateliers of houses you would know by name. She left to make something quieter: lingerie designed for the woman wearing it, not the woman being looked at.

Every piece is cut in Paris and sewn in Portugal by a workshop of eleven. We use French Leavers lace, mulberry silk charmeuse, and a Peruvian Pima cotton soft enough to forget. We make small runs. We make them slowly. We make them again only when we have nothing left to learn from the last.

Confidence is not loud. Femininity is not a costume. The body, when listened to, asks for very little — and deserves the best of it.
